Three Ways You Can Help End Dog Fighting!

Dog fighting stinks. Forced into lives of abuse and neglect, dogs used for fighting often spend their entire lives tethered to short, heavy chains. They receive little socialization and can go for days without food or clean water. And if that weren’t bad enough, when they are old enough to fight, many die of blood loss, shock and exhaustion. Others are simply killed for failing to win.

From the very beginning, these dogs are fighting for their lives—and they are counting on you for help. Here are three ways you can take action to end this cruel sport.

Make the Call
If you suspect dog fighting in your neighborhood, please contact the police or your local animal control officer. This simple act could mean the difference between life and death for dogs in danger.

Fight for Stronger Laws
A great way to help is to take action on dog fighting legislation in your state. Sign up to become a member of the ASPCA Advocacy Team!

People who are involved in dog fighting are generally degenerates of society. They already involved in other criminal activities and they are just bad people in general. This wrong from all aspects. Does Micheal Vick consider himself a good Christian? Because God does not approve of any kind of Genocide.

A lot of the criminals who fight dogs often have mental problems just watching a dog fight is dumb, dogs are not just animals, they are like family they would choose your life over theres and dag fighting is just plain stupid imagine u being those poor dogs :( :'(

I can't even understand why anyone would want to watch these helpless and in pain animals fight to the death. It's just so wrong on so many different levels. These dogs don't have a say in what happens to them. It is our responsibility to care for and love these animals. Anyone who neglects this privilege of being able to help animals and instead treats them as trash needs to take a trip to their local prison...and stay there until they realize their wrong...or die.

THOSE WHO BRING THESE DOGS TO FIGHT SHOULD BE THROWN IN JAIL AND THOSE THAT ATTEND DOG FIGHTS SHOULD BE PENALIZED TOO. THESE DOGS WERE BORN TO LOVE NOT FIGHT. ITS THESE HUMAN DOG FIGHTERS WHO SHOULD BE CHAINED UP AND LOCKED UP AND NOT FED ANY FOOD OR WATER AND SEE HOW THEY LIKE IT.

Just noticed Michael Vick wants to get a dog for his kids, but I totally disagree. I am sure if the kids want a dog that bad they can get it after 18 years of age. He should not be near any place with animals. He needs to pay for what he did and be a lesson to the rest of the community, just because they can't talk, doesn't mean they can be abused.

Some prisons have excellent rehab programs where inmmates train dogs to be companion dogs. Why not bring dogs that were trained to fight to be brought to prisons so inmmates could participate in socialization programs. Win Win

I would like to tether their behinds to a chain, left out in the heat, rain, cold and exposed or in a box. Throw food to them that is rotten, nasty water with algea and whatever else grows in it. For, Well, let's say six months, and see how they like those condiditon or apples as we REAL AMERICANS call it, REAL AMERICANS DON'T ABUSE WHAT GOD CREATED!!!!!! THEY BELONG WITH SATAN IN HELL.
