Got a sec? We could really use your help. This week, we launched a new holiday video focusing on puppy mills and why you should never, ever shop at a pet store that sells puppies. You see, most pet store puppies come from puppy mills—you know, those large-scale breeding operations where dogs live in horrible conditions and never receive love. Well, every time you buy anything from a pet store that sells puppies, you’re actually supporting this very cruel industry.

We think our video has a really great message and we’d love for it to go viral. That’s where you come in. After you watch our “Puppies Are Not Toys” video, please share it with your friends on Facebook and Twitter, and kindly ask them to share it, too. Be sure to use the hashtag #NotAToy. We’re counting on your help to reach millions of people with this important message.

This is ridiculous!! I am a pet store owner who DOES NOT get dogs from puppy mills!!!!! I can't believe you are trying to ruin small business' with your idiotic opinion. You get your facts straight before you try to take down small business'. Wouldn't suprise me if you teamed up with big box pet stores!! It is very sad what you are doing to our stores when you have no clue how we run our business! It is sad that people believe the crap you are putting on here

To "ridiculous" - If you are not using puppy mills as a source, I would say good for you and you should display your sources. All puppy mill info that I have read and seen encourages puppy buyers to do their own research, and if you are legit buyers will be able to verify that. The ASPCA did not dream up and digitize this video. This is real, and it is a real problem, and for ANYONE who cares about animals it is horrendous, and ANYONE who cares about animals wants it to stop. If you want to defend your personal business, that would make sense, but to call this information crap is so unbelievably foolish (perhaps ridiculous?) of you, as a business person and otherwise. This is a serious problem that needs attention, and if your business builds a good reputation, you have nothing to worry about and if you actually care about animals you would be in support of ending puppy mills. I don't care if you get your puppies from legitimate sources, after reading something like that I wouldn't give you business anyway. Get a clue.
