You’re Invited to Our #PuppyLove Dating Show and Trivia Party!

A dating show for dogs? You bet! Please join us on February 12 for a special Twitter party and “live” video event to help spread awareness about pet adoption. The hour-long, Valentine’s Day-themed event will showcase some of our super-cute adoptable pets in a very unique way—think 1970s dating show!

We’ll also be asking trivia questions about legendary animal/human couples and giving away prizes every FIVE minutes! One grand prize winner will receive an ASPCA Tender Voices collection sparkling diamond pendant donated by Zales. Plus, all party guests will receive a secret coupon code for 15% off everything at the ASPCA Online Store.

It should be made a law. Our best friends are our animals and pets and yet if is shameful to think that cruel and uncaring humans can hurt and maim them just because they choose to or out of their anger. I support the law 100%.

Yes I support the police. For helping to save our animals. Dogs give us unconditional love. If we accidently hit them later they will come and give us love.

Please make it a felony if anyone should abuse an animal.There voices can't be heard and for most of their suffering their reward is to be euthanized.How is that not a crime in itself.God bless them for they are the Lords creatures.We are only their caretakers because God has bigger issues and relies on us

Animal abuse should be a felony and people should be held accountable for the awful things that they do and get away with.If a man cut off his childs feet you would put him in prison,If a man tied his child to the back of his truck and drug him 5 miles down the road you would put him in prison,So why cant the sam rules apply in the judicial system for animal abuse and cruelty? These wonderful creatures love us unconditionally and only ask to be treated with kindness. Any person that could hurt these innocents should be prosecuted to the fullest. I want this felony law to be enforced for any animal cruelty. I mean for all animals. It seems that the worst behaving animals alive today are human beings. How sad is this state of affairs?

I feel that pets are like people. They have feelings too. They also need plenty of love and a place to be loved. If you have to mistreat one, you deserve to have your freedom taken away as if you hurt a person. They did not ask to be born. And if you have problems, don,t take it out on a pet. Please make any way,shape, or form of abuse or neglect be charged as a felony. Most serial killers and abusers got their start abusing the family pets. If they do that to the doggies, God fear what they will do to people, i.e. usually women and children.

Very often I find individuals holding one or two puppies at the entrance of the mall in mi city. The pups are very tiny and have to endure this torture for hours, with no food or water, people passing by, touching them with contaminated hands and the owner, happily showing them off, as if they were candies. The security guards only ask them to leave, but this doesnt solve the problem, I bet this people just go to the next shopping area until the puppies are sold. How can this be stop? Nobody does anything, this should be against all laws, the sellers are encourage by the irresponsible buyers and breed more puppies in order to make some easy money. The pups are under age and not vaccinated.

I'm surprised that it isn't a felony already! Only the worst kind of person would abuse an animal. Someone with a drug problem can get a felony & they just do it because they have some issues & haven't gotten the help they need. They aren't evil. But abusers are, they are disgusting & have no place in society. Their abuse of animals is usually in conjunction with abuse of family members. If they were charged with a felony, they'd get my time in jail/prison & that could possibly save a child or spouse from abuse too. There really is no reason not to make it a felony.

I wish there was a law that anyone hurting a animal would suffer the same abuse they dished out and then be charged with the crime and do there time!!! I would love to have the job of inflicting the abuse on the human (if we can call animal abusers human)...PLEASE MAKE ANIMAL ABUSE A FELONY!!!
